Sun, Fun & Competition

The Club at Ruby Hill's beautiful Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and spa are the center of activity for families during the summer months.  Take a dip before or after a round of golf, participate in the club’s renowned swim instructional program, or help young swimmers boost their swim and social skills through membership in the Red Raiders competitive swim team.  Children of Golf, Athletic and Social members ages 3 to 18 are eligible to join any of programs running year around to learn proper stroke technique and compete against other teams in the Valley Swim League.  The pool is heated year-round and also offers activities and instructional programs for adults, including aqua fitness classes.

Green means the pool is completely open. Yellow means a program is going on, but you are still more than welcome to swim. Red means the pool is closed for programming or for the night.

Red Raiders

Red Raiders Summer Recreational Team:

Our summer program is for ages 3-18.  To be a part of the swim team, swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke if they are age 8 or younger. Older swimmers are expected to know all 4 strokes and how to dive. The Red Raiders compete in up to 8 meets a season.  They have many fun social events during the season as well.

Ruby Hill Swim School:

Swim School has 2 main offerings: Little Buccaneers and Learn To Swim Classes. The Little Buccaneers is a swim team readiness program for water safe swimmers who do not know how properly swim yet. Learn To Swim is for little ones who have no swimming experience. These classes have a 4:1 and 3:1 instructor to swimmer ratio respectively.

Spring Stroke Clinic:

The clinic focuses on the proper way to swim the strokes. This is not swim lesson class, but rather a class that breaks the strokes down to their basic level to help swimmers fully hone their skills. The entire focus is on stroke improvement.

Fall Swim:

Fall Swim is for those summer league swimmers who want to continue to build on their successes from their past season.  It is also a great way to get a jump on summer swim for the following year for those who plan on joining the Red Raiders. The fall swim has a heavy stroke and conditioning emphasis.

High School Conditioning Clinic:

This is a 6-week clinic that starts after the New Year and runs until High School Season begins. This is a great way to get into midseason form before the season ever starts.

USA Swim Team:

This program is for those swimmers who want to make swimming their primary sport or be in the water all year long. It is for all swimmers ages 3-18 who already know how to swim.
